As a therapist I have the unique task of helping you figure out what “stuff” you want to untangle so you can see the world in a way that will allow you to live the life you want to be living.

I am also an incredibly imperfect human, just like everyone else, who believes that everyone is doing the very best they can with what they have at the time.

My Philosophy

I believe that everyone gets to choose to better their lives. Regardless of past experiences, regrets, mistakes or chaos.

I believe we can choose to change our path if we don’t like where we are headed.

I believe we are all inherently worthy, simply because we are here.

As a level 2 trained IFS therapist. I most often work from an Internal Family Systems (IFS) model.  This means I believe that the mind creates a kind of internal family system within us.  That we have different coding in different parts of ourselves that can sometimes cause conflict, much like you find within families.

I understand this type of therapy is not for everyone.  We will work together to create a plan that best suites your therapy goals.  Sometimes people have more success using Family of Origin therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) or solution focused therapy.  Therapy is a process driven by you.  My role is to help you figure out your goals, the best way for you to reach them and allow you the dignity, space and honesty to do the work to get there.

Whatever journey you choose I would like to walk with you, to sit with you in the light and dark spaces and support and encourage you through that process.
